Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered Retail Listings Appear for PS4, Xbox One and Switch

Listings for Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered have appeared on Portuguese retail site GamingReplay, and have been subsequently removed. As spotted by Nibellion on Twitter, the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch listings offer an October 2020 release date and are emblazoned with the same logo found on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Mass Effect Trilogy.

Rumours about a potential Mass Effect Trilogy remaster have been bubbling for some time now, but these listings certainly add further fuel to the fire. With a Sony Showcase and a Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase just around the corner, there are plenty of opportunities for this rumour to become a reality, too.

While retail listings are sometimes used as convenient placeholders for retailer, further speculation has been caused by the fact that those listings were quickly removed after the news began to spread. We’ve contacted EA and Gaming Replay for comment.Back in February 2019, Bioware told Polygon that the studio is “definitely not done with Mass Effect,” suggesting that the series may experience a return in the near future. A remastered collection of the first three games would be a good place to start. In other N7 news, check out this video detailing Billie Eilish’s secret Mass Effect connection.
