Solaris: Offworld Combat
The developer of Firewall: Zero Hour has shown off the first gameplay from its next project, Solaris: Offworld Combat. This 4v4 arena game is, as the title suggests, a sci-fi FPS with a competitive sports flavour. Think of a frantic laser-tag control point game and you’re in the right zone. It releases this August for Oculus Quest and Rift, and later in 2020 for PSVR.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
TWD: Saints & Sinners is one of our favourite VR games. We gave it a 9 in our glowing review, but it seems like what we saw back at release isn’t everything. A new mode, The Trial, is coming, and it puts a more arcade-like slant on the game’s grisly, high-impact combat. The Trial is a horde mode which unlocks all the game’s weapons and pits you against waves of zombies and scores you for every kill. Dubbed The Meatgrinder Update, it will be added to Saints & Sinners this July for all platforms.

It’s got a little bit of a Job Simulator vibe with things going wrong, such as a meteorite crashing into the street. Traffic Jams releases this September on Oculus Quest, PSVR, and PC VR platforms.

Each of the creatures has developing AI based on reinforcement, and so each of your interactions helps teach and develop them. It’ll be available in VR, but also on mobile devices and PC.

Ghost Patrol VR
A combination of Luigi’s Mansion and Ghostbusters, Ghost Patrol VR sees a team of players take down spectres by firing their coloured beams at the correctly shaded ghosts. This one is coming to VR arcades worldwide, so expect to play this only when social distancing measures have eased up.

Shortly after in August, the Heartbreaker Trilogy will be added free of charge to the PC and Oculus Quest version (a PSVR release will be later), which adds a “chilled out” experience over three scenes that’s inspired by games such as Sayonara Wild Hearts. Finally, in Q4 the first of a two-part update called The Concierge will land, which features a cinematic action campaign with new enemies, weapons, scenes, and mechanics.
The Walking Dead Onslaught
No gameplay was shown, but Norman Reedus swung by the stream to say hi and remind us all about The Walking Dead Onslaught, the official VR video game based on the AMC show. He reprises his role as Daryl Dixon for it, and recorded his lines in a VO booth he built in his basement.
