The first chance to play Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is during the PlayStation 4 Alpha event. If you’re looking to play on another console, you’ll have to wait for the Beta Event in October.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War alpha starts on Friday, September 18 at 10 AM PT/6PM BST and ends on Sunday, September 20 at 10 AM PT/6 PM BST.
How to Get Into the Black Ops Cold War Alpha
The Call of Duty alpha is open to all PS4 owners and PS+ is only required if you’re in Germany. To get into the alpha, all you need to do is download the alpha from the PlayStation store. This is a free download and is approximately 25 GB.
If you have Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or Warzone already downloaded you can go to their menu and launch your Black Ops Cold War alpha download from their or you’ll be taken to the alpha’s page in the PlayStation store to begin the download.

What’s In the Black Ops Cold War Alpha
The Black Ops Cold War Alpha features Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Combined Arms.

Anyone who plays the alpha on PS4 will receive a special Calling Card that can be used in Modern Warfare, Warzone, and eventually Black Ops Cold War.
