Well, fellow bargain hunters, May is on its way out. Beyond it, a whole month of EOFY savings to look forward to. Desperate merchants making desperate discounts—you just love to see it. I’m starting to detect some signs of this with the likes of cheap 2022-2023 released AAAs on Xbox and PlayStation. Expect more as they appear.
It’s not just The Skywalker Saga’s sense of humour that kept me engaged, but its mission variety too. Though never quite as daring or inventive as It Takes Two, the 45 main story levels constantly switch things up so that the action never grows stale.
FC6 is some of the most fun I’ve had with this series in a decade. In particular, its creative weaponry means taking down an outpost, ransacking a convoy, or even just taking a ride with a buddy has never felt better. 8/10, would buy again (for co-op).
Not gonna lie: I didn’t love playing this on my lonesome. Co-op was better, but still not phenomenal. The good news comes in the form of a update that dropped on April 27. Added cool content. Punched a few big bugs to bits. Could be worth a shot now.
The successor to the DualShock 4 has a stark new look and a redesigned shape that’s easier on the hands, which makes it a fundamentally better, more interesting controller. It also has some next-gen swagger.
